2023 North Carolina Corn Yield Contest Results Are Available

The 2023 North Carolina Corn Yield Contest Results are now available.  See the results under the Corn Yield Contest Tab.  There were 116 entries from 33 different counties entered into the 2023 North Carolina Corn Yield Contest.  Forty-four different varieties from 12 different seed companies were represented.  Two thirds of the yields entered were produced using no-till farming practices.  The statewide average for this year’s contest was 256.82 bushels per acre.  This is the highest average yield ever recorded.

Outstanding Yield Club Winners

This year we have seven yield entries that met the qualifications of the Outstanding Yield Club all of which are over 300 bushels per acre. They are:

Helms Farms with 335.65 bushels per acre.

Friendship Farms LLC with 327.53 bushels per acre.

B.J. Roberts with 317.84 bushels per acre.

Lewis Brothers Farms with 314.32 bushels per acre.

Boerema Farms with 305.59 bushels per acre.

Two entries from Kornegay Family Farms of 305.21 and 303.45 bushels per acre.
